Thursday 5-19-22 Dinner at House of Beans in Mkskheta

 Another cooler, partly overcast, windy day.

Had coffee and croissant for breakfast.

At 10:00 AM we went with Kathryn to a discount clothing store not too far away.

We parked across the street

The store name was Navne.

It had a large selection of women's clothes and shoes, some men's clothing and some children's clothes.

Kathryn bought a pair of sandals. I was only briefly in the store and then went outside to look around. I noticed that the two apartment buildings across the street each had a Zoo Life Pet Store

I see them all over the city.

Spent the rest of the day watching YouTube. At 3:00 PM local time watched the early 6:00 AM News and Weather on WDAY.

When Erik got home they took us out to dinner with Lada,the nanny, to Salobie or "House of Beans." Erik, Kathryn, AJ and Aksel road together and Kathryn ordered a BOLT for Lada, Cathy and me. Traffic was heavy and we went to the other side of the mountain where the house is. The restaurant is by a river with dams and a Power House.

The site is where Russian Poet Alexander Pushkin stopped for a drink. They have a memorial to Pushkin

There are various places to eat from dining rooms, outside cubicles

to little Houses

we were lucky to get one of the little houses as it was raining, windy and cold.

Erik ordered lots of food and wine. The cost was 110 lari, about $30.

It was nice to have a dinner with Lada. She was proud to share Georgian food with us

After dinner while waiting for the BOLT we could see the monastery on the mountain top across the river

Saw a second RV in Georgia

The BOLT we rode back to the house in was a Hybrid and we were on electric power all the way. The driver spoke English and asked where we were from. No traffic on the way back and it seemed like only half as far.

When we got back a storm was brewing and Erik, AJ and I watched it from the patio. Lots of lightning and thunder.

Watched several episodes of "The Office." Went up to the bedroom and watched "The Commish" on Circle. Then finished the night with Fox News.
