Sunday 5-15-22 Baku Marathon

 Warmer today and slightly overcast. It was 62F when I got up and got up to 78F, warmest day since we got over here.

Made Nestle Gold Instant coffee. It was fairly decent.

Took a shower and almost got injured. The hand held sprayer came loose from the metallic hose and the hose started whipping around

Turning off the water stopped it and I remained unscathed.

We headed south towards the museums. We were resting in a park when we heard from Kathryn and she said they were at The Port Baku Mall Playground. We started heading towards the mall. Cathy didn't like the way I was going, so went on her own. I was trying to see runners in the Marathon that was underway, but never did see any runners. They had the streets closed off and people were driving their electric skooters on them

I stopped across the street from The Port Baku Mall and rested on a transformer across from the 6 km Marker

Cathy was sitting in the lobby outside Ralph Lauren in the mall.

Kathryn texted and said they were in the mall at the Bacchanal Restaurant. 

Cathy and I joined them and ordered lunch. I ordered Chicken Strips

and Cathy had Poached Eggs

It was a very comfortable restaurant

They also had a Bazar Grocery store in this mall. We bought some candy there, but prices and inventory were a lot different than the other Bazar store we were at.

We went back to the hotel. Window washers were busy across the street

we were just sitting around in the hotel room, when Kathry called and said they were in the Executive Lounge on the 5th floor. We joined them there

I got a cheese puff and beef strip and beer

The kids were mesmerized by something on the iPad

Went back to the room and got ready to leave early in the morning for Tbilisi, Georgia.
